Mary and Bob arrived yesterday for a 2 week stay in Venice. We managed a trip to the beach in the afternoon followed by sunset and supper at Sharkey’s. Mary and I toasted the sunset with a mango bango.

The Daniels’ Arrive in Venice
We travelled to Orlando for a week to take our grandchildren (Madeline and Sophia) and their parents (Andrea and Pasquale) to see Mickey. It was a wonderful week and we were blessed with outstanding weather (80 degrees). Four of the days were spent at the parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios). We rented a 3 bedroom house with a great heated pool. It was a true blessing to be able to spend a week with the Tumato family and to get to know our two granddaughters better.
Pics February 1-15th
A new restaurant Pineapple Grill opened up here on the Island and it is a super place with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Our big group visited there to check it out.

The gals went to a great high tea and really enjoyed it there.

25 of us went to Snook Haven to see the “ELVIS” show. It was a great night and we “got into it” with Elvis singing to many of our group.

The annual Nova Scotia picnic was held on February 13th. As usual there was a large crowd at the park and it was really nice to see all those Nova Scotia licence plates.
Needless to say this post has been a long time coming. I am not sure where the time goes but go it does. The month started with the arrival of the last 3 couples from “away”. Judy and Mike Cullen arrived from Dartmouth on the 31st of January and so did Dan and Marilyn Munroe from Calgary (formerly Dartmouth). The Corkery’s (Liz and Earl) arrived on the 8th. Now that the “gangs all here” the pace will surely pick up -oh my!
Week 7
Hello to all! We have been watching CTV news faithfully and know that Cindy Day has blessed you with some interesting weather. Last week we were the only state/province in North America which didn’t have snow – yes that’s right Hawaii even had some in the mountains. We started the post season off with a shutting off of the Laidlaw’s Christmas lights with a great party which included lots of laughs and karaoke. Dave and I have had 2 Board meetings and 1 general meeting here at the park association- a little tiresome but necessary. The guys have been off to the movies twice (True Grit and The Fighter) and the gals once to see The King’s Speech. Dave and I went to dinner at Red Lobster with the Gallants followed by Ain’t Misbehavin at the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe. We have played dominoes at the Hall – the gals won! And at Molly and George’s – the gals won! We’ve continued work in the yard and on the patio, managed some beach time, and sunning in the yard. We have had dinner at the Gallaants and the Laidlaws. This past weekend we attended the Kentucky Dinner at the hall. Busy we are but it is all good. We are looking forward to the arrival of the MacIntyres, Munroes, Cullens and Corkerys starting this Thursday. Hurry up and get here !!!
